New rider, new (old) Ducati

I'm a new rider and my only experience so far is the MSF course last weekend.  I've always admired the Monster, and a friend was selling his so I took the leap.  It's a 2000 M750 with a sort of color changing paint job.  I may change that, but otherwise love it.  I'm getting a new rear tire and oil change before getting started, but looking forward to it.

As requested, here are some mediocre pics of the bike.  The color changes depending on the light.  I'm considering repainting, but as a friend suggested, "Uh, you may want to wait til you've had 100 hours or so before considering a new paint job, just... because."

Probably not a bad idea to wait a little bit before deciding on paint.
