1998 Monster advise

I am looking at a 1998 Monster 900. I have never owned one or looked at them before. Anything special in this year to look for? I really like the idea of bars for comfort, are these comfortable?

I have been riding since 1991 on the street. I used to be a sport bike only guy, but age and back issues drive me into a more comfy model. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I recommend that you also post your question in the General forum, you will get many more answers there.

I think whether the bars are comfortable or not is dependent on your size, have you sat on the bike?  Some people put on bar risers to get a more upright position.
