The trailer is meant to carry two bikes, so it has two rails, or mounting points for the front tire.  One on each side of the trailer.  The center rail allows you to haul just one bike in the center of the trailer.  I cant post pics here, but you can see more info (including pics) at  http://www.kendonusa.com/dual_trailer.htm
