Hello wonderful people of DMF! My name is Carlos and this is my intro.
I'm from PR born and raised, been riding bikes since I was 12 and got my first bike in 2005, a 2005 Kawasaki ZZR 600, my father raced bikes here on the island when he was younger and was always a Kawasaki lover. In 08' I decided to get a cruiser and got a Yamaha V-Star midnight custom and in 09' I got HD Sporster low, all of these are still in my garage. I've always loved Ducatis but there's only one dealership on the island and it's notoriously expensive(e.g 2010 696=$13k) and even when I did show interest it is plagued by terrible, terrible customer service.... Anyways, I left and came back home unable to get the 2011 M796 Dark with ABS out of my mind, a few calls and days later and it's officially ordered and should be here in about 2 weeks. I've been lurking this forum extensively since then waiting like a kid for Christmas day!

Thanks for having such a dedicated and informative forum where Ducati noobs like me can get some good and straight info!

Carlos, welcome to the forum and to the world of Ducati ownership.  I'm in Florida and always loved the Monster, just got my first Ducati in November and it's made me very happy.  I need to bring my '99 750 up to date, but in the meantime it is a blast to ride.
You are way ahead of me, this is also my first street bike, although I had dirt bikes when I was younger.
Make sure and post some pics of your bike when you get it, we love to ogle everyone else's ride!
