I have a seat cowl that I am going to cover with Vinyl wrap. I am at work and it is at home.
Does anyone have the length and width of the seat cowl so I know how large a piece of vinyl I need?

Thanks

Total width all the way down under the wings 63cm (~25")
Total length including all the way forward to the wing tips 40cm (16")
Plus an inch or two extrab and another sheat when/if you scew it up...
Also, if you can - get the type that can be put on with soapy water for a super-easy bubble free application [thumbsup]

You're welcome!

May I add: I think it will be very hard/impossible to get the vinyl nicely around all those edges and corners AND it won't stick on the rough inner surface. So, without having tried it myself, I suggest getting a fresh scalpel and carefully trimming it just at the edges.

I finished covering the seat cowl. originally I thought I would have to get 4 pieces/colors of vinyl and fit them together to get the look I wanted, but instead they printed the design I wanted on 1 sheet. It was my first time using the vinyl and it took about 4 - 45 minutes sessions to finish covering the piece. I took breaks in between so I did not rush or get too excited and make a mistake. I have two pictures of when I was halfway finished and two when I was done.

Very cool design [thumbsup]

What did you do around the edges?

I just wrapped it under. I left a full inch of material to wrap it under and it seems to stick just fine. I did make a few cuts to make it stick flat underneath around corners. I am very happy with the result and absolutely beats the cost of painting with four colors. I bought the vinyl/graphic from http://www.pilotgraphix.com . I provided a picture and he designed and printed it. His shop is within the shop of http://autovinylsolutions.com/
