Ducati Leather Jacket Input

So, I'm a freak of nature and get cold riding even on the 80 deg+ days and with the hot-ass seat that keeps burning holes in the ass of my jeans. My mesh jacket just isn't cutting it so I'm looking to get a decent leather jacket.

I am in the military so we have to have something super bright/reflective whenever we ride so I thought I'd look into a leather jacket that meets all of my requirements and the military's requirements. I want padding, not just a straight leather jacket. Considering I have a bright yellow bike, I was thinking about a bright yellow jacket to go with it. I don't want to spend a fortune (which all the really good stuff is expensive) but I did run across this:

The thing is, I can't find this jacket anywhere else. I don't know the mfg or any other details minus what's in the description. It seems like it would fit the bill but I don't wanna drop that kind of money down unless I'm sure.


Anyone know anything about this jacket or know of something similar that's close to the $300 or less range?

That jacket has been out of production for years. It was done for 749s. They were replaced by the 848 a couple years back

I know Dainese makes jackets in a variet of colors. But the available colors will vary by jacket. And dainese is costy. I don't believe any of their leathers can had for $300 new. Unless they happen to be old stock that never sold.

They do have textiles around that point.

Id suggest you surf some store sites like newenough.com revzilla.com cyclegear.com or the boards sponsors.

Well, I bought it.

I'm actually going to take it to my local tailor shop and have them alter the 749 to a 748 (bash me if you want, I don't care). I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a crap jacket since I couldn't find any info on it at all nor could I find any one else selling it. It matches the bike and meets both my requirements and the military's requirements so I think it was the best thing I could purchase for the money.

If you get a new number cut, the font is Univers. Not sure what weight for the numbers... But 'Ducati' is Extra Black. I'd guess the numbers are Light
