Just got back from a trip to Orlando (insert bad driver, huge crowd, wtf would I do that to myself rant here).

Averaged 39.4mpg, regularly drove 80mph, ac on, two adults, three kiddos and the trunk was freakin FULL!  Everyone was comfortable and I have no complaints.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Seriously considering a new TDI Golf in the near future, as my commute is going to triple with the new job.  My local VW dealer let me borrow one over night to try out, and while I was impressed with it, I noticed the seats were not too kind to my lower back.  Kind of wish the lumber support was a tad lower in that car...
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Seems fine in mine.
Wonder if they changed anything about the seats.

mine is so so.  i think if you're over a certain  height you're sol.  maybe need to add one of those back supports with my doughnut pillow

The seats in my Mk IV GTI are fine as well.  The only issue I really had with the ones in the TDI was that the lumber support was to high, and not really focused on my lower back.  Odd, as the seats in a Wrangler didn't bother me at all.

I'm 6'3" and found the seats very comfortable.  There is an adjustment  "sweet spot" that took a little while to find.

It would be nice if the steering wheel would telescope 2" more towards the drivers seat.  Reaching forward that short distance, gets old after 7 hours straight.
