I'm getting old.

After 100,000 km's on the old monster, I'm thinking I might like a wind break.

I'm heading out later in the summer for a 10 day trip, destination yet to be decided.

Any suggestions on a good touring screen would be much appreciated. Links or pics would be really appreciated too, but any suggestion at all is great.

I do have a stock bikini fairing kicking around that I could swap out a taller windscreen into or a full clear piece would be fine too. I don't care how it looks, it would only be used touring.

FWIW, I'm 5'9.

Givi A750 or A755 screen will provide more than adequate wind protection depending on how big you'de like it....my Fiancee has the A755 on her 05 M620 and my Sister has the A750 on her 01 M750 and I had an A750 on my old 01 M900 before I went to a different set-up altogether...

I might have one that fits the stock screen. Can you post a pic of your setup now?

the A750 is the foreground/left one and the A755 is the backround/right one....the turn signals should give you a rough width different reference...this was from this past winter when the bikes were in the garage in hibernation taken with my cell phone FWIW...

MRA makes replacement 'glass' sections for the stock fairing that are taller and some feature a lip to pop the air up even more.

I'd also recommend a set of fairing stays - PoorDucRider work well, though their site is down. Might take a little work to track some down.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Zero Gravity makes both a regular (SR) and tall (ST) 'glass' section to fit the stock fairing.

I'm using one of their ST units on my commuter 750.

It provides a bit more protection than stock.
Though, I'm 6'1", so it's gonna be even better for you.

right now I'm  running without anything at all.

I have an oem monster, carbon fibre fairing in a box somewhere with the stock size windscreen in it.

thanks for the suggestions so far.

I'm going to go check out the Zero Gravity screens right now and the givi screens look good, although not much taller than the stock monster unit.

i think if you have the stock windscreen the zero gravity ST (and poorduc fairing stays) is the best way to go.
big enough and looks more like something that was stock on the bike
if you dont have the stock fairing, check out the Puig windscreens.
a bunch of sizes/shapes to choose from and cheaper than the Givi options
especially if its something you are going to take on/off

after doing a search through past threads, I think you might very well be right in regards to the ZG St screen. I do have a stock windscreen, so it really doesn't make sense to buy a whole new unit. I will only be using it for touring so I would only use it 2-3 times a year, so I think it might be the answer.

thanks for your input.
