Don't know about these pants, but pay special attention to the sizing charts.  On most of their leather pants, the waist is really larger than the labeled size.  (ie a 28 is actually 29 7/8)

I've been riding with these pants for 2 years now.

1.  You'll be fine in 80 degree weather.  I've rode in 100 degree weather days with these pants on.  Recently it was around 95 and humid and I was sweaty, but not unbearable.

2.   I've yet to purchase track pants but I feel that the Twins are way safer than jeans and many of the textile pants out there.  The leather is thick and the stitching looks solid.  I'm confident these can take a spill.  The knees have pads that can be replaced. The pads are held in place in zip pockets.  The craftsmanship overall is excellent.  I read the reviews, took a chance, and was very happy that I did.

3.  They fit like a pair of Old Navy bootcut jeans but look way cooler.  They fit true to size like a just tight enough pair of pants but in leather.  I wear a 30, sometimes 29 and I bought these in 30.  I've received many compliments about them but I mainly bought them for protection.  The looks are just a perk for me.  The crotch region is the only area that doesn't have leather and it makes for a better fit for down there.  The top button is weak and will pop open.  I always wear a belt and recently purchased the Dainese "Cintura Union" Belt from Motowheels so I can zip into my Dainese jackets.  I wear them snug over my fullsize Gaerne boots like a pair of bootcut jeans.  Oh, and the metal A* logo always catches everyone's eye.

Thanks for you insight, it really helps knowing people who have actually used them. I really like the look of these pants,  I haven't found any others out there that look like normal pants make out of leather.  I don't really wanna look like I'm on my way to the track everyday.
