A young fellow with a brand new H1 (right after they became available in civilian dress) showed up at a Land Cruiser club run I used to frequent with my much-missed FJ40. We were happy to ride with anybody and the inter-brand shit-flinging was all in fun, but the kid's incessant chatter about how he was going to show us how a real off-road vehicle worked quickly got tiresome. When the ride leader said we'd be heading for a trail we all knew, there were smiles all around - because we remembered the tight squeeze between those two huge oak trees that was mighty snug for the FJ60s in the group. I think the guy he spent the rest of the run riding with was nice enough to give him a lift back to his parked Hummer.
