Dry Clutch Bleed

My 08 Hyper (dry clutch with open basket) clutch disengages in about 2 secs with lever pulled.
So I bled it upward then down and the clutch still releases in about 2 secs.  I opened bleed valve, squeezed lever, closed valve, released lever (never letting the reservoir get too low) enough times to top off reservoir four times.
It still has the same issue.  Would an air bubble allow the clutch to operate for such short intervals of time?

Should I tie the lever closed overnight as stated in another thread?

Also, I saw no leaks or cracks in any lines or fittings; everything seems tight.  Any help would be nice.

It sounds like you have a leak, check the slave cylinder.

so you pull the clutch in and it works, but then after a couple of seconds the clutch is effectively out again and the bike starts moving (if in gear)?

faulty master cylinder i'd say.  without seeing it anyway.

Thanks for the info.  Looks like the master is the issue.
