What I mean is, there is a kill switch, a button, on the turn signal controller -- a SF or Panigale rider will click the turn signal in the direction he is turning, and then hit the kill switch to turn it off (push the button on the signal switch). But I have to push the signal switch again, in the same direction as I am turning. Annoying.

That is how it's supposed to operate. I like it far better than having to try and center the button on the oem switchgear, inevitably crossing over to the other signal.  :D

Yep, the M-Unit documentation is clear on the options for how to set up the turns, but a second tap on the same switch is the only manual cancel option as far as I can work it out on mine.  You can of course program in one of the available time-based auto-cancel intervals and the 'second tap' still works to override that (for a lane change, for example).  The auto-cancel is pretty cool since it does not count time with a brake on (sitting at a stop light, for example), you might try the shortest auto-cancel interval and see how you like that.

If for some reason you don't have the documentation you can download it from the Motogadget site.

sweet, thanks for the advice carbmon. i am going to try and find someone in the new york area who is proficient with this electrical stuff and see if he (or she?) can set it up better for me. i am hopeless when it comes to this stuff. i just want to cancel by pressing the button, the way i do on the panigale.

i also want it cleaned up and looking pro, like kopfjäger has it. or i'm going to ride to atlanta and see if his guy will do it for me.
Give me a shout if you know any good motorcycle detailers in the Westchester area.

I found this to be the best option for custom switches. Permanent flashing, auto shut down, hazard lights modes.

The kill/starter switch functions like the older Ducati switches.

I take this to mean I could wire up the right switchgear directly to my OE 2000 Monster harness in a traditional fashion? I have a NOS left switch that I like already.

Thanks  [thumbsup]
