Anyone in here like me, running Conti Tyres  ?

If so, you may be in for a pleasant suprise. I do remember some discussion on the forum about Conti's splitting some time back.

I'm running the Road Attack 2. I just purchased a new rear but the recall only seems to effect the fronts which are 120/70/17.

My front tyre was imported from the US so may escape the recall. I'll have a look at the numbers in the daylight.

Brian you need your front tyre replced 5011

no benefit though, your tyre still looks like new from lack of use

What are the defects?
In some tyres the tread and/or belt may separate, possibly resulting in loss of air pressure.
What are the hazards?
If the defect occurs, this may affect steering control, posing a potential crash hazard to the rider. :'(

I had near new set of Conti sport attack 2 fitted. :o
And back in May, had the front split and deflated with rather disastrous results :-[
Wish BrianW would have bought this to my attention earlier. ???

For those with a front tyre falling within the recall have you been in contact with your tyre supplier? My tyre is within the recall but I have been advised there not replacing it with another Sport Attack 2 but instead a Road Attack 2 Evo!
