Hi guys, I've been noticing a squeaking noise coming from my front wheel that is getting progressively louder.  This is at parking lot speeds and such, slowing down for a light in the city, etc.  It sounds almost like bearings?  I'm getting a little concerned.  I'd hate to be riding along and have the front wheel sieze up or fall up or something.  I still have warranty, so i'm thinking of bringing it in, but it begs the question, should I be lubricating anything other than the chain on this thing?  I never have, and I've ridden in rain quite a few times.

It might be the brake pads, but it's probably a wheel bearing.  Get it looked at.

I know the sound the brakes make when you apply them and that's not it.  It's not constant either and seems to go , Squeak, squeak, squeak and increase or decrease in frequency depending on speed.  I'll take it in.  So no maintenance I should look at re lubrication other than chain, oil and cleaning?  I am assuming everything is sealed up tight in there.  Thanks

If the noise is changing with wheel speed it is not head bearings.
Look at your wheel bearings and also look at your rotors, a bent rotor will just contact at the high spots. inspect the rotor surfaces and watch for extra shiny spots . If the wheel is not centered the high spots could be contacting the caliper body.

anything change about the time the noise started? tire change?
