That an asteroid was named for Freddie Mercury & announced on what would have been his seventieth birthday is only the second best part of this story, as reported in the New York Times.

The best part? That it was "was announced on Sunday in a YouTube video by Brian May, the former Queen guitarist who became an astrophysicist after the band broke up."

That right there is one hell of a résumé.
