Where to get a used bike tire for a salvage to keep the good one

I had just put the tire on it when I wrecked the bike and would like to keep the tire.  The two shops that had tires said they don't sell the used ones and the others said they had just sent them to the dump.  How can I get a used tire to put one the bike for when they come to pick it up.

Just keep asking shops.  Better chance if you ask a smaller shop but someone should give or sell cheap a used tire.
Or post up in the parts wanted section here.  I'd think someone would be changing tires and willing to send their old one your way.

Where do you live I have a garage full of used tires.

Check with trackday providers and their tire providers they might have take-offs for really cheap.
