let's say for a minute that a decently-modded bike were for sale.

granted, asking blue+what you put in it is a great way to not sell your bike.

but how much do you suppose you could reasonably ask for?  ducs are pretty rare 'round these parts anyway...

Strip sell/trade all aftermarkets.

Ive seen people sell em for less than %50 face value of mods, not including install cost (unless you did it yourself it, then it wouldnt matter) Ive seen alot of S4Rs decked out with mods sell for 12g. 13g is the cost of the bike, and the mods were in excess of 5grand.

But selling all the expensive goods is almost a must if you want to recoop your money.

Statler

an s4rs with BSTs and Termi kit etc., was listed not too long ago for 15.   it had 22 to 24 in it.

It's still buy a flounder a drink month

I think I've put... somewheres in the 'park of 5gs in my 620...

most of it parts. the only things I didn't install myself was the 7fiddy hi-comps and the dyno tuning

always keep your stock take-offs rather than selling them for exactly this reason...   which i didn't do with my 900.  i actually bought stock parts on ebay and then sold the aftermarket parts seperately from the bike...  made out alot better still, stock bikes sell better anyway.

Part out what you can and put the bike back to stock as much as possible.  You'll make WAYYY more money that way.

teddy037.2

meh, if I put it up, I'm too lazy to part it back to stock...

oh well.

not that I'm selling my bike or anything. [roll]

I'm not selling my monster ever, so who cares?

weemonster

couple of weeks ago on Ebay uk one of the UKMOC members sold his very heavily modded 95 m900.
It went for £1600.
Which is about what you'd expect to pay for a really nice low miles well looked after standard one.

Luckily someone from the UKMOC had some pennies and they bought it.

unless you find the right person engine mods will most likely lower the price of the bike compared to a std engine ime.

Or you can just be like me and be too poor to afford serious mods.
