Hi all. I've had a few posts on this site, but I never really put my shout-out in this thread.

I am originally from Colorado. I have had street bikes and dirt bikes most of my life. I love riding on the road, but most of my experience is in the dirt. Specifically, Enduro type riding. I was never the fastest guy through the trees, but I could always keep the fastest guy in my sights. :)

However, on the street I am not as crazy. I do push my bike on the street, but I don't really cross the line. Because of this, I have NEVER laid down a bike on the street in 30 years of riding on the street (I've crashed plenty of times in the dirt). Yes, it's true, and it makes me nervous. And it's not like I ride around like an old woman.

In 2001 I bought an awesome Monster S4. I spent the next few years putting on some goodies (slip-ons, power commander, bla bla bla). I put close to 7000 miles on the bike before selling it in 2006. I needed some money to start a business, and that is what it took.  I always regretted selling that bike, and I missed it terribly.

This year, I began the search for a new bike and I just couldn't get anything other than a Monster. But I decided to go used, because folks put THOUSANDS of dollars in their bikes, then sell them used a few years later for a fraction of the original cost. Just like I did with my S4.

I was targeting an '07 S4r, but I ran across a few '02 S4 Foggy's in my quest for a Monster. I wanted to get a Foggy when they first came out because I love their look, but it was too rich for my blood. And, the Denver dealerships were asking full price as a place holder on the waiting list. OUCH.

Anyway, I found an AWESOME Foggy in San Fran this summer and bought it, and had it shipped to Denver. It only had 4k miles on it when I took delivery, and looks like a brand new bike, and has quite a few extras. It is fantastic!

A week after getting my Foggy, my wife and I moved to Nashville, Tn. The roads around here are FANTASTIC, and I have already put about 700 miles on my Foggy since living in Nashville (for about 2 1/2 weeks now).

Down the road, my next goal is to get a used and tricked out 916 in the next couple of years that I can use as a track bike. I really want to learn to push a street bike to the limit, and I am so used to the 916 engine and power band, I might as well keep the love going with that as my track bike. But, don't tell my wife about this plan.   [cheeky]

So, that's my story. But I do have one question:

How in the WORLD do I post an avatar on this site? I just can't figure it out! I go into my profile, and don't see how to do it. HELP!

Cheers from Nashville,

Bryan...

glad to see you here on the board.
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Welcome Bryan!

The flounders have most account settings locked down right now. It didn't used to be so thats why most of us have avatars and such. Be patient, that capability may come back.  [thumbsup]

Again, welcome!

Oh, and Truckinduc is TN somewhere. Might be around you...

Welcome Bryan, glad you are enjoying your Foggy! [thumbsup]

We will of course want to see pictures when you get a chance (sorry about the trouble with your avatar). ;D

Good luck on the search for the track bike, and don't worry, it'll be our little secret. ;)

Thanks all. The place to add the avatar appeared today, so I updated my profile. Nothing fancy, but at least it's something.

No track bike for a few years I'm afraid. It will take that long to set the foundation at home to make that leap. :)

I do need to get some pictures of my bike. I am a photographer, so it pains me to just take a few quick photos to post on-line. I have to at least raise the bar a little.

Cheers,
Bryan...

OK, you asked for pics. I just posted them on a thread on the General Monster Forum, but thought I would do so here too. I took them last week. I am also using them as my signature.
