I had two friends that bought those MH Evos. when they first came out and called it an "investment" when they could have bought new 916's cheaper.  :'(

I'd much rather have the beautiful R90S in the background. [thumbsup]

Now a real MH replica I fight ya over.

I'm not real familiar w/ older Ducs , can somebody tell me what the inital picture is of what year and model Ducati ? What would that sell for if one like it was available ? Thanks in advance.

Is it a Mike Hailwood 900  ?  I really love the looks , but a friend of mine in the Ducati business told me he had a friend who had one and that it had alot of issues. I think it is from the '80s ? Dolph

According to the owner, it's a 2001, MH900 Mike Hailwood replica, limited to 2000 produced, and a real pain to ride.
I believe the last part, you pretty much have to lay down on the tank with your legs doubled up under you to reach the controls.
The owner is the owner of the local Beemer showroom, adventure BMW, and he says he bought it new from the factory via the internet. It's one of the first off the line.
The owner says he normally keeps it in his living room as sculpture.
Here's a couple more pics.

I have no clue how much it would cost to buy one today, and the owner won't sell.

Ummm... I posted a ebay linky^^^^^ ... so I have some idea what it might bring. As well my local BMW/Duc shop has one for sell as well..... forget what he's asking though. Smitch would know he works there.

Sorry WDB,
Saw that after I posted.
Still, if I had the $$$ and the space. . . ;D

The one on Fleabay is bid at a little over $10K w/ about 9 hours to go.

I couldn't even display it as sculpture...no space,. I already collect too many things that take up too much space.

Might be cool to suspend from the ceiling.  Dolph

Haha, Aaron (Owner) is a funny guy!  That guy is a nut for sure!  He is thinking about adding United Motors to his line up.  Aparently BMW does not make bikes for the newbie market.

Bun-bun

Well. yeah!
Their "entry level" bike is almost $10k.
They need something they can sell for $4-5k that'll get people in the door, that they can trade up for a BMW down the road.
Just makes sense.

Sorry, but that thing is the most atrocious thing out of the factory, maybe ever... just my 2 cents.
