Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

the 250 race was AWESOME.  Man, Barbera has been sort of known for being defensive in the corners ( or aggressive at knocking bikes, depending on how you look at it ), but my guess is someone is kicking his ass right now...

that's a lot of crash outs, even for 250 ;)

no spoilers from me on the 800s, for those TIVOers...  but Rossi is definitely inside Stoner's head, which is a bummer, because on any given day it sure looks like Stoner could ride circles around him...  and that's saying a lot, given who Rossi is...

Not sure about that, He had a safe distance behind him 3sec is nothing when you can maintain it on every lap and you can push harder for better laptimes.. He could do circles around Rossi last year but now that Rossi got the Right bike and Competitive tires (looks like everyone next year will run Bridges) Rossi is kicking some Ass!!! [beer]

OK, when does the stoning of Stoner begin? As in medieval stoning. This is deja vu of his suck ass year on the Honda satellite team before his 15 minutes of fame in '07. Maybe Hayden's potential signing will push him out of the #1 seat. He's a crasher. I'm beginning to think '07 was a weird year for him... as in a good year and now he's back to normal. Oh well, I'm a Rossi fan so who gives a shit. He's the master and how cool is it that we live in the time when he displays it. Daily. Don't see Stoner ever filling those shoes. Ever.

.5 second faster in qualifying then Rossi.  No one on the track.
3.xx seconds faster during the race then Rossi.  Craploads of people on the track.

How?  he's faster.  he has better starts literally every time.  he qualifies on pole nearly every time.  he gets ahead of the pack and knows how to stay there.  Even when the bike was going all wompy, he rode that beast like a champion.  He beats Rossi in the corners, he beats him on the brakes.

No need to speculate.  It's just the way it is.  He's had two crashes, one of which he was not able to get the bike going again.

Nicky unseat him at Ducati?  PLEASE.  Nicki has #2 written all over him.  And, as I mentioned, Nicky + Ducati is not going to be a good combo.

So, Stoner rode with a broken scaphoid.  He still shot off pole like a rocket and battled out a 3+ second lead ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.  I say he crashed due to hand issues + Rossi is in his head.  He looks back a lot.

I like Rossi a lot.  Rossi is an awesome racer, He's consistent and mature and fast as hell.  Lately, although he is not banging out the records every weekend, he has better at where he is not strong, which is a cool thing.  San Misano, as he himself pointed out, is his home track, but not his favorite.

Here's hoping that Stoner comes back with a vengeance, for at least the #2, if not the #1 ( although that would really require some screups from Rossi, which would be uncharasteric during all this ).  Also, I continue to root for Pedrosa and Vermeulen, just 'cuz...

later...

Stoner=crasher. Hope he proves me wrong. Rossi=amazing. He's already proven me right. Hey, it's the only thing I have ever been right about. [laugh] [moto]
