Living in a Ducati desert

I think you should move to a place where there are more Monsters. Maybe Chicago?

Oh, Even though the nearest dealer is 2 hours away from where I live, there are a few monsters here on the North coast, and a few more inland, as well as some other Ducati's that are around.
I know of an 848, a 749, a Bayliss, a Paul Smart, and a GT1000, a couple of Super Sports and an old kickstart 750.

I've seen one severely whipped 620 and a 1098 with some squid sans gear the other day.

I have a buddy in the Chicago area who drives a 1000 or so miles a week and he reports Duc sightings to me all the time, or calls to describe the bike so I can tell him what it is.  Not to mention you live in a decent sized city, tucked neatly into the middle of nowhere.  We have one certified dealer and a total of three shops willing to wrench Ducati here, though you still don't see too many on the road.  The dealer has had the same 10 or so Ducatis on the floor for about 6 months now, I can't imagine he moves too many.  I think 2 or 3 Monsters, and a couple of 848s.  Hell, the dealer can't even get rid of the used S2R1K with full arrow and airbox he has.

There are so many ducatis in SF that the riders do not even wave to each other.  I was at a gas station a couple of days ago and a dude on another monster pulls up next me.  I say "whats goin on dude"  and all I got back was a blank stare.

yeah my Dad is in SF today and called to let me know that there are a 'shitload' of Ducs out and about.

I live Downtown in San Diego and not many Ducati's out here. Coming from IL I would think there would be more bikes out here! I must say, the biker scene in IL is way better than here IN CA. IL has a better community; congregated, more activities, gatherings, rides, etc. Even in 30 degree weather.

I am in Valdosta, GA...

2 others besides mine on base (Moody AFB).  a new 696 and an older 2V (not sure since I haven't gotten a good look at it but I think its a 6xx).  If you guys are on the board speak up!

I live smack in the middle of two Ducati dealerships, one being two hours to the west, and the other being two and a half hours to the east. I know of a guy who has four Ducs, but he is a collector and never rides them. the only time I've seen other Ducs on the road here is when a few of us got together to go to Thunderbeach. It was great, 6 Monsters and 30,000 Harleys.

Hey just thought most of you guys would get a laugh out of this one.  I'm in Arkansas, as what I know of right now.  I'm the only guy in the 100 mile radius that has a Ducati.  she's a 97 M750 and have been enjoying her since I got it back in April. 

Last year did get a chance to see a yellow 996 that someone was going to sell, but don't know where it went.  The closest dealers to me are in OKC, or Kansas city.  Isn't to bad, but it surely is barren where I'm at.  I wish there were other Ducati riders here that I could meet up with.

Yeah I've been there a few times. In Chicago, there's a bike night almost every night throughout. I'm still learning the area though.
