I think we need to have a Happy Hour at or near the track on Friday and Saturday.  I don't wanna have to drive somewhere if [beer] is the focal point of the gathering.  ;D

I'll be happy to host a Happy Hour at my RV in Lot 2.  I think good times would be:  5:15 pm Friday (after the Friday MotoGP practice is done) and at 3:30pm on Saturday (after the MotoGP qualifying is done).

Sound like a decent idea?  If anybody has a better plan, I'm all ears.   :)

Sounds good.

I also like Industrial Grrrl's idea of finding someplace on Sunday night to eat/hang out.

I lived in Indianapolis for 4 years during college.

I can definitely suggest places for a gathering.

You can nix the area by the Speedway, as it is a pretty shitty area. Used to be nice, but running downhill.

I would recommend either downtown or the northwest side of town where the DOC hotel is.

If you are going downtown, I would go to Rock Bottom Brewery. Yes, I know it is a chain, but it is a great place to have  [beer] and the food is great.

If you are on the Northwest side, there is a great pizza place on 86th Street called Arnie's.

but then you could also go to the Broadripple area (strip of about 30 bars) and there are lots of options there. A great pizza place called Union Jack's, and another pizza place called Bazbo (spelled it wrong).

Let me know and I will be glad to help

The Rathskellar does kick ass, there is no question about that.

Based on the weekend, a reservation is probably a good idea.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

yes.

There so many events already planned/available for thurs, fri, sat nights.  I don't know of anything for sun after the race, so how about we meetup before everyone heads home??

And yes if this looks good for people we should start a new thread and get someone to sticky it.
