I called AMS Alvaredo, and their obvious answer was no, it's not common, and bring it to them.  Looks like it will be there Tuesday. :P

What time on Tues??  You know I don't get out of school til 5 and prob won't be home til 6, if you need a ride home.  Also, I can come straight there and get you, but I'll be on the bike so you'll have to ride b*tch and work around the backpack!    [laugh] [laugh]

It will be when they open, I'll have my "people" take care of it.  If you still want to help, have your people call my people.

My bike is not wanting to go into neutral when I'm at stops.  When I try and ease the shifter up, it's hard and then pops to second?? Any genius' out there?  I can't handle having to hold the damn clutch in all the time........oddly it finds neutral easier when bike is turned off.

Your clutch is dragging.
Probably air in the hydraulics, but could be warped clutch plates (we don't know how/if it was abused in its prior ownership).

I'll give you a call in a little bit.

I agree with Rich.  I think you need to bleed your clutch.

I never had any problem with my clutch.  (I used to have a 1098S)  Then, I started having the problem you're describing.

I bled the clutch, and it went back to good as new.  The stock hydraulic slave cylinders on the Ducs seem to ingest air over time.  One solution is an aftermarket slave cylinder.  Much lighter pull (30%) and supposed to be more reliable.  That's a subject for another thread.

Go bleed your clutch!

glad I get relearn my bike.  I just rode to the gas station and I feel like the clutch was 2 inches longer.  Wow so that's what a full clutch feels like.

Now get your suspension set up and you'll forget all about those ratty suzukis!
