Hey guys, I just heard back from my Ducati shop that they are going to be able to get the exhaust that I'm wanting.  They wern't sure at first because the crazy italians took august off!!  I've looked far and wide and the exhaust that looks the best to me is these termi pipes.

So since these are slip ons I am thinking of making them into a "full" system by adding a cat eliminating pipe.  My question is which pipe?  I've heard you guys talking about quat-d, spark, ducati performance, and marving.  The ones that look the best in the pictures to me are quat-d.  I would really like to replace my pipes from the engine all the way back (not reuse the first 8-10 in of pipes off the heads).  Also, what type of metal will the termi pipes be made of? stanless steel I'm assuming.  I would of course want the header to be made of the same metal as the termi ones so they will all look alike when on the bike.

does anyone have these pipes on their bike with the cat eliminating pipe as well?  if so, does it sound good?

I appreciate all your help!!

Thanks!!

I have the other shot-gun style and the Marving midpipe.  You probably already know, but these cans (mine and especially yours) must be removed to dismount the rear wheel.

yeah, i had heard that rumor with some of the systems.  thats no big deal though.  I don't take the rear wheel off very often.

I always defer to the factory aftermarket (DP) as they had time, engineering expertise, and worked with a contracted supplier to make sure the header would work as well and flow as well as possible. It's in their best interest.

On my old S4R I used the SpareShack, but it doesn't flow well because of the way the two pipes join. Brad Black's article on Moto-One and the dyno charts are a good place to look for info.

And with the high pipes like Pompetta's you shouldn't have to remove the cans to remove the wheel. You just have to turn the wheel the right way as you remove it. I had the high cans on my old S4R as well as on the RS I have now and don't remove the cans. Takes about two min. to remove the wheel once it's on the stand. Good damn thing too as I go through like five rear tires at least per year.

I've tried a half-dozen times, and no amount of turning or twisting gets my rear wheel off.     :-[

i figure that will be the case.  Not being able to get the rear wheel off without taking the cans loose.  Im looking online, the termi cat eliminating pipe, does it replace the headers the whole way from heads to cans, or just the mid part?  Where can I get it at.  Im looking, but can't seem to find it.

Thanks

not sure if i'm allowed to say this as moto one is not a sponser, but we have a few left and we've got them on special.

the aussie dollar getting it in the arse again compared to the us dollar will help those in the usa too.  should've bought those flatslides a couple of months ago.

which pipe is it that you have in stock?  for the 05 s4r?  does it go all the way from the heads to the slip ons? or does it re use part of the factory pipes coming off the heads?

how much?
