Yep, I'm with the "everything.. except pants" crew.  I generally just wear jeans for pants, though with the weather getting colder and wetter I finally bought some textile armored pants, so I've been wearing those.

For me it's partially a cash flow problem but mostly it's a fitment problem.  It's hard to find pants that fit a short skinny guy.

The fur should be on the outside  ;D

One cheap solution is to wear knee padding, like T-Pro or Alpinestars, underneath or on top of jeans.  They provide abrasion resistance to the covered areas when your jeans rip and a lot of impact protection.  For example, here's the T-Pro Forcefield MX.

Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

I've looked into things like that.. but it's a similar problem of finding some that fit well. :|

I'm not saying I can't find leathers, it's just that the companies that make the ones that fit... tend to be the very expensive ones.  My textile pants work for now, I guess.

I used to have one as a kid too (someone gave it as a gift to my dad).  Really soft fur.

I think a Back protector is as important as wearing a Helmet.

I always have one in my leather jacket no matter where I am going  [thumbsup]

They are Cheap and can be very comfortable. I actually prefere the feel with one since it supports my back on rides.

+1 on the back protector. I have a dainese that I put into my perf leather jacket. It helps with ventilation quite a bit as it keeps the jacket off my back and allows airflow. It flows almost as good as a cycle gear mesh jacket I have. I never wear the mesh jacket because it feels so flimsy.  I am comfortable in my leather one as long as I am moving even in the hottest of Texas days.

Wearing full leather gear is for me like wearing my seatbelt in the car. I don't drive without my seatbelt on.

I wear an Armored , leather Jacket , either a BMW Back Protector or Dainese Wave V Safety jacket under the leather jacket . A pair of Dainese Pro Shorts under a pair of Dainese  SP perfed ( in warm weather ) leather pants or Dainese Firefly or Mekong leather pants , Racing Boots and Racing  long Gauntlet Gloves

Typicially my rides are 100-150 miles.  But evevn if I was just going for a 10 mile ride , I would wear the same gear. Accidents can happen at any time . That's why they are called ...accidents.   Dolph

I wear some sort of protective pants when I ride 99.9% of the time and always wear a jacket(along with gloves and boots), For those concerned about the Joe Rocket mesh jacket holding up I can tell you at 35 mph in a slide it did it's thing as did my mesh pants. I always ask people when you fall where do you hit first, almost every time the answer is your hands, your knees, and your face. Motorcycles are a bit different but all the same when I went down that is where I sustained a lot of damage to my gear along with my right shoulder of the mesh jacket.  I preach the gospel of protective gear from experience but simply put wearing gear is a personal choice and you shouldn't judge a rider by how much or how little he elects to wear.
