Who's got the rumors?

I've heard bits and whispers of an R or an S ...

What has everyone heard???

I read that an "S" model will be coming with the Ohlins forks and shock with some carbon bits on the bike.

I read that an "S" model will be coming with the Ohlins forks and shock with some carbon bits on the bike.

All "S" versions come out with Ohlins and Carbon bits. The questions is, will they have an 848 S or R? Some of the fairings read "S" on them, but some dealers swear it is not coming out.

I work at a dealer, and have heard more rumors about the 1198 replacing the 1098.  While I've seen the 848S stamp on the underside of the tanks, I've heard nothing about this for 2009.  Doesn't mean it won't happen, but I could see them putting that off another year.

Probably won't happen this year, IMO Ducati will unveil the 1198 w/ a price hike and make space for the 848S.  There just not enough space between them $ wise, yet.
