While I have been considering myself a pretty good photographer, even people with talent blow it completely every once in a while.

First, the good shots, and a brief recap.

Well, I showed up at the Ear around 9:50 or so, Nate and T showed up shortly thereafter.  Representing the Usual Suspects were me, PatrickS2R and RCPete.  Pat even brought his girlfriend along.  Regular NYMMC members included all-star Howie, the safety maven CDawg and he of the convertible pants - STPRocks.  We adjourned to the back of the joint for burgers and mussels, and after some really good conversation, I busted out the camera.

BTW - Pakhan - you got called out by Nate.  He asked "where's Jake"?  When told you weren't showing he yelled "The make the beast with two backser!"  Consider it love, J!

In short, a wonderful evening.  Nate, it was great to finally meet a Flounder, and I hope you and T had a great evening and a great trip to the city!

This is supposed to be the crowning picture of the evening.  Here's a solid tip for anyone using a new digital SLR - just because the preview looks sharp as a tack, it's no guarantee it's in focus.

What's in focus here?  Hmmm, the wall behind them?  The pictures?

LOL, I really wanted to meet him too.  We have had scuffles in the past, but I consider him a friend I haven't met in person yet. Hopefully I'll see that make the beast with two backser at DIMBY
