Sounds like a plan...

Now I need to get my butt outta work, get home, and get to sleep so that I can get up tomorrow like it's another workday (6am).

And yes, I'll aim for 8:30... but you can probably expect me at 8:45.  ;D  Although if I do show up at 8:30 and you're not ready, there will be no end to the grief...

Izzat SB next to McD where 99w and 5 cross?  If so I'll try to meet you guys there in the morning.  Just a few minutes from my house.

Nope.  It's the SB on 99W where The H Mart, The Gun shop, Verison store (used to be Blockbuster) Old Country Buffet, etc are at . . .  Ummm . . . used to be a Taco Time if I remember correctly - near/around Dr. Feel goods if I remember correctly, like across the street.

So yah, it's about 4 lights south on 99W from the McDonald's you mentioned.

Scott and BB good times, good times!

Thank everyone involved in helping/sponsoring it for us Mo.  It was a blast!

Ummm . . . Oh yah.  The photographer on T3 said he gave you his biz card Scott.  Can you post the URL here so i can see if he got anything good of me.

After today I've touched down both pegs, hit the rev limiter on the bike, zeroed the chicken strips, ummmm . . . oh hit Lily's max speed . . . basically reached every mechanical limit she has.

Time to upgrade!  [thumbsup]

Oh, and Mo . . . please tell Jed I apologize profusely for calling his bike an SV when you see him.  And if you think of it you should invite him and Liza to the drinking events.  ;)

More addictive than crack.  I'm with you Chuck, scraping on both sides in the turns.

http://www.xqsme.smugmug.com/  Ben Arboleda.  There may have been another photog, didn't get his info.  No pics up yet.

Thanks Mo and DHR.  I'll be back.

A little more detail:

I had a great time, before, during, and after the track session.  I was pretty apprehensive not knowing what to expect so I gridded up at the back with the slow riders.  I had been around the track once in the back of a pickup on another track day when I was a spectator so I had seen it before.  After a few laps I was feeling more comfortable and managed to a pass a rider or two but they would catch me on the front straight.  There's only so fast an air cooled twin will go.  It was really different from riding on the street.  The track is so wide that you have a lot more choices about what lines to pick through a series of corners.  Later in the session I was picking different lines than I started with and getting smoother.  It does help to follow other people with more experience.  I had one nasty mishap heading into turn 7 when I caught a neutral shift, downshifted, and ended up fishtailing in first.  Recovered quick and no harm done.  I was scraping my muffler on the right and my kickstand on the left.  I'm sure I could go deeper with a little weight shift and some better front springs but as it was my first time out I took it easy.

This is the most fun you can have on your moto for $20.  I was unsure about going to a track day because it is a good chunk of change.  After this I have no doubt about signing up for a few next season.  I highly recommend doing this if you're curious.

The guys at www.onsightproductions.net have a bunch of pics up.  XQSME (Ben) has posted race pics from Saturday, but not ToR.  ???

Dude... you need to get off the bike a bit more... I think you got rid of your chicken strips right there.. any more bike lean would be a bad thing. So.. now... it's all body. Looking hot though!  [thumbsup]

I can vouch he used up every itty bitty bit of his tire . . . not one iota of a chicken strip.

I took a couple hours and went through the rest of the gallery on onsightproductions... I may have to eat the $69 and buy the CD.  There were over 75 pics of me out of the 1200+ they posted from TOR, including a couple of great pic series where the photog followed me all the way around T9.

Oh, I also e-mailed Ben Arboled, (xqsme.smugmug.com, or e-mail: barboled - AT - gmail.com), and he had 8 good pics he gave me for free when I e-mailed him about TOR photos.  I'll definitely be donating to him via Paypal in the next day or so.  [thumbsup]

Need to get his permission before I can post 'em, but if he says it's cool, I'll put some of those up here.

Thanks!

Yep, after looking at the photo series, I concur with your advice.  There was one time I went around T9 with better form (body further to the side).  Regardless of room for further improvement, I'm really pleased, considering how upright I was at the first TOR.  Made a huge improvement.

Also touched down a toe on T4.  Whoops!  :o  No toe sliders on my current boots, so I need to avoid repeating that...

Next objective: get my butt off the bike far enough to get a knee down.  [evil]  This is one of my goals in life.  Much to my mother's chagrin...  ;D

Actually, there are a couple pics where it looks like I have the bike further over than this.  May be photo angle... but there's at least one where I'm definitely past 45 degrees.  Considering those are just regular Pilot Powers (170/60 in the rear), and the better 2CT is rated for a max of 51 or 52 degrees of lean, that seems like pretty good use of the rubber that's on the bike right now.  :)

Believe it or not, even sitting fairly upright I had the tires scrubbed to the edge after my first TOR.  This last weekend just did some more scrubbing.  You can verify with Sabrina, I believe she saw the rear tire of the SS a couple weeks ago at Tuesday night coffee.

Anyway, since we all love pics, here's some of the better ones I found at onsightproductions:

I'll split the cost of the CD with you if you like.  I was planning on buying two or three pics anyway, of me not you :P  And I have an 11x17 printer if you're interested in printing some off.

They are pretty strict in enforcing that the CD is pics of you and only you. Not sure if they will let you do that one.

This guy's good... better than some of the folks who charge an arm and a leg.

Chuck and Scott, definitely hit up Ben about pics.  He may be workin' on putting them up on his website in a TOR gallery, but I don't know for sure.  I e-mailed him today, and he promptly got back to me.  [thumbsup]

Didn't realize, thought it was all pics from the session.  Thanks for clarifying.

I'll definitely ping Ben.
