I have a 5x10 trailer with two wheel chocks installed ready to tow two bikes.  Pretty sure I have a 2-inch ball on my truck.

I can tow it into work in Grand Prairie tomorrow, and somebody can meet me at lunch or whenever and pick it up.  Although, I guess track day is next weekend, right??  Just let me know when, and I'll bring it.

Tommy, that is some scary shit.

When I saw the first picture I thought the F150 had nudged the trailer whist trying to park, it did not even enter my head that they could have tried to drive straight through it. Well to be honest I still can't work out how it could have happened, I have been sat here for 10 minutes trying to write something but I am lost for words.

I hope it all gets sorted soon and does not cause you to much inconvenience.

I cant even begin to express how much this sucks! Just glad no one was hurt. My stomach knotted up when I saw those pictures .... I wish I had a car or something to offer you guys to help out.

I'll see if I can't catch a ride with Muskrat to track day (thanks for the offer man). For HC I may actually have gotten my hands on a trailer that can carry 4 to 6 bikes (enclosed).  Nevermind how I am going to get my bike anywhere... just let me know what I can do to help!

My thought is that after she put on her makeup in the truck mirror she couldn't see to put down the last of her beer so she could answer the phone! And she was maybe sleepy after being up all night too.

I have had some time today to think about the total picture of what happened this morning.  I honestly for the life of me can't figure out how she hit my trailer so hard that it pushed my truck and trailer (which was in park....hope my tranny's fine) down the road so far.  I have parked in the same place every day since January.  There are tire marks on the curb about 30-40 feet behind the resting place of the vehicles.  I think that was the point of contact, but they are pointing at a 45* angle to the road.  Kinda like she was hopping the curb and going into my yard.  but oddly the truck and my truck and trailer were all in line.  It actually pushed the tongue (3 ft A-frame) of the trailer into my truck.  There is glass in my front floor board from the rear windshield.  I personally think the 848 hit my rear window, then bouncing back to a perpendicular position on its side.  I had 4 ratchet straps on all 4 corners of the bike.....and it was STOUT!.  I also had a strap going from the left front corner of the trailer, wrapping around the wheel and chock, and connecting to the right front corner of the trailer.  This was to keep the wheel in the chock.  Here is a pic of the right side tie down from the trailer:

I found it on the ground.  It snapped in two from the impact.  Keep in mind, this was in a residential neighborhood community, nowhere near a main road.  I have no clue why the cops didn't question her more.  They only took her information and insurance.  I'm no detective, but this was not a low speed collision.  When you have a vehicle that was pushed 30 feet from impact, a 1/4 inch thick steel trailer mangled and steel tie down hooks broken, then there is something to be said.  Unfortunately, nothing was.  I myself was in a bit of shock.  Mainly thinking about Marquess's bike that was in my possession.  Wow, I gotta quit thinking about this.....

I still want to know what the hell she said to you and the cops!! Was she even apologetic? Did she even give a s#@t? When do we get revenge? [laugh] I'm still just blown away by her stupidity. If she drives that freaking bad down her own street maybe the rest of the world is lucky she didn't get any further. Probably saved untold number of lives! :P

Man, I know that's got to be frustrating.  None of it was my sh#t and those pics piss me off.  I think you could sell tickets and have people lined around the block to take turns pregnant dog-slapping the driver.

I have a feeling that (unfortunately), if nobody was injured, the cops just don't care.  Why call the crime scene investigators to reconstruct the event on a supercomputer at NASA to show that the F150 had to have been doing double the speed limit and then laid on the gas after hitting the trailer to continue pushing everything that far down the road?  After all,  nobody was hurt (this time).

Actually, what can they really do?  If they didn't witness it, all they will probably do give a ticket for failure to control speed or some BS like that and then get back to the donut shop before they loose their favorite seat.

When you think about it - the physics of it is impressive.  She had to have turned the curner off Stonebrook or Mequite and just absolutely FLOORED it to build up enough speed to do that kind of damage in that short of distance.  Either that, or she hit it at a slower speed and simply stayed on the gas letting the truck do some serious pushing (all 30-40 feet) until she finally realized what was going on.

I'm guessing she either fell asleep, or hit the gas instead of the brakes...

I guess the cops could charge her with reckless driving? What else??

It was parked in front of my house........  What's the speed limit again?

What the hell were you thinkin', boy??? Parking in front of your house???  Ain't yer yard big enough fer the truck and the trailer together???
