(EDIT:  October 24th:  I've updated my original post now that we've got a date most people can make...)

How about hitting Hard 8 BBQ in Coppell (about 4 miles northeast of D/FW Airport) on Sunday, November 2nd, 1:00pm?  Here's their website:

It's a great place - family friendly so bring yer clan -  and very easy to get to, plus, it's got a covered eating area and "bike corrale."  Oh yeah, and really great food.  Hope to see you there!

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Anywhere with a special fenced off, bikes only parking is good for me, having good BBQ also helps. [thumbsup] Sunday Nov. 2nd is a winner. Lets come up with a fall back date in case Nov. 2nd has really crummy weather since I'm sure most would like to ride. Maybe the day before, Saturday Nov. 1st? Doesn't matter, just a back up plan of some sort will do.

Are we shooting for lunch? Maybe 1:00ish? You do realize that it's a full year since we did this? That's way too damn long. :( I think it was Oct. 20th on WiWa's birthday wasn't it? Either way we are way overdue. [clap] [bacon] [beer]

How about hitting Hard 8 BBQ in Coppell (about 4 miles northeast of D/FW Airport) on a Sunday sometime soon (after  the track day and hill country weekends)?

It's a great place and very easy to get to - north of DFW - plus, it's got a covered eating area and "bike corrale."  Oh yeah, and really great food.

October weekends are pretty well toast already so let's look at November; how does Sunday, November 2nd sound?

What say you; yea or nay   [evil]

the one in Stephenville would offer up a good ride with some hills and twisties.

For this one, I'd like to stay north if we could.

I think a ride down to Stephenville would be awesome though - I'd definitely be up for THAT ride... Great, twisty roads, plenty of hills and some really nice countryside.  I think all it needs is a ride leader and date.  I vote Muskrat    ;D

I see this going two ways. The Coppell Hard 8 BBQ for the local DFW crew that wants to stay in the metroplex just for a lunch get together and maybe an awesome group ride to Stephenville for Hard 8 #2. Just on two different days. One is just a get together at Coppell and the other is an organized day ride to Stephenville. Kinda of a two for one Hard 8 thing. How does that sound with the masses? Just saying and thinking...
