Well crap. My wife and I found out my 7 y/o bulldog has Lymphoma.

We found a tumor in his groin and it has doubled in 2 weeks. had some test done that confirmed the cancer. Vet says not much we can do other than keep him comfy and pain free. Going to spoil the crap out him for the time left with the little devil. Really blows

We have an appointment with an Internist but not hold much hope. Everything I read sounds like this is not operable.

anybody dealt with this in dogs?

Sad to hear yamm . . . Rocco, had Lymphoma and past away in about 9 months, well, I had to put him to sleep when I saw the pain was too much . . . just keep spoil him rotten until YOU feel it's his time go rest . . .

Best of lucks, it really hurts a lot to think about this . . .  :'(

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

Major bummer. We had a girl develop bone cancer in her leg, she was a very dear dog, loosing her was very hard but the pain she was in was not controllable. The thing that got us through it was a new litter of pups that had to be focused on.

^^ that's awesome!  [thumbsup]

Emma, my almost 12 year old Dane, is showing her age. Chronically sore hips now, probably arthritis, which is sad. Once a day painkillers/anti-inflammatory now. Not too many make it to 12 though.  [thumbsup]

That's why I'll never get a large breed dog. I absolutely love Danes but they have so many health problems and such a short life. My dogs are family and the less often I have to bury them the better.

Ya, we've lucked out. She hasn't really had any health problems, other than incontinence, which can happen to any female dog. Usually around 8 years old is getting close to the end though. 12 is amazing. Good food and exercise.  [thumbsup] She's "small" too (about 130 lbs in her prime), which likely helped. She's about as sweet as they come, but I don't know if we'll ever have another. Mainly because I'll only get rescues, and you don't see too many Dane rescues.
