I may be. Non-commital as ever. Where are you riding to?

I think I'm going to ride out to Jordan lake, around Shearon Harris.  If I go, I'll be leaving within the next hour.

I go down Farrington to 64, then cut over to 751.  I should be out in about an hour.

Cool. If I get there first, I'll stop at that old gas station on New Hill and old US-1.

That works.  I just edited my post to tell you that.  I'll see you there.  Should take me about 45 minutes.

I met a few of you at Brier Creek last weekend on sennaster's old ride (with my own mods of course!)

Looks like the weather might let up for the weekend.  Anyone up for a ride -or at least a beer?  I'm in NRaleigh near Capital and the 540.

I'd probably be up for something on Saturday.  I won't be able to get in more that short stints on the bike but I'd love to meet some more of the local Ducati nuts.  [beer]

I might be in during the day. My night is booked, hookers and blow take up too much time.

Completely understandable.  ;D

I need to get out and ride more.  If anyone wants to ride, just shoot me a PM or post.  I'm available most days.

I'm definitely going out for a while tomorrow if the weather permits.  I got the first miles in on the new S4RS last night and had a blast.  I'm looking forward to putting in some more miles over the weekend.

I'm going to do a loop of Shearon Harris tomorrow (24-Aug).  If anyone is interested meet me at the old gas station ("New Hill Grocery" ?) on Old US 1 near New Hill Rd at 11am:

I am in..  but you will have to be a little patient with me..  looks like it will take me about 30 mins to get there, but I have no idea where the grocery is.  how long is the ride?

zephyr411

Yeah, I'm up in n raleigh, but it's a nice ride around there and totally worth the trek.

Duration:  I haven't taken this exact route before, but google thinks 1.5 hrs -so probably *1 hour in reality* as long as we don't get caught behind a boat or something.  We can keep riding after that, but I wanted to have something with a definite start and end point for anyone that has a time limit.

Here is a rough approximation of the route:

Note (in case someone takes this route on thier own): point B is a bridge that will send you over the bars if you hit it at speed, but it's fairly easy to spot on the approach.

BTW: you shouldn't have much trouble spotting "the old gas station" -there isn't much around that area except a couple of houses and the crossroads.

In any case, PM me if you need my phone#
