Theft prevention?

Here's a thought......uhhh damn it i lost it.
no i got it.
If you have never dealt with an insurance co. here is some first hand exp. You will never get from them what the bike is really worth. They give you low blue book and don't forget your deductible which means 9 times out of ten whatever you would have spent on theft deterrent is less than what you lost from value of bike. Oh yeah and piece of mind is priceless.

Ive been thinking about this for a while. Where the frick would you put a "compact"  3" x 3" coke can of a siren and transmitter box on a bike with zero fairings??? The air box??? Someone please chime in with a place to put/hide all those electronics.

I've got the Scorpio paging alarm. It's more like the size of a wide deck of cards.  It fits under the seat OK, and I've heard others have installed it up near the airbox.

I love it for what it does, but I doubt the range of any paging alarms would do much good in a high rise apartment building though, unless you are on the floor just above the garage.  The concrete does a pretty good job of stopping the signal.  Maybe I need to adjust my antenna placement.
