I noticed they were using it on a Duc Monster in the pics.   [thumbsup]

Actually it's a Ministrada - a Multi 620.  Same swing arm though.  WbW has a lot of Ducati content siince one of the main guys has a couple ducs.  In general, a great informational resource.

And as far as lube on the wheel - you're up to you eyeballs in suggestions...
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I've used the wd40 solution before. spray a little, rinse it off. take a few nice left handers and should be good

Thanks for all the tips, everyone.   [thumbsup]

Tried the Simple Green and it was okay.. (maybe I didn't scrub hard enough?)  But am going to try the acetone next.  picked up some nail polish remover on the way home...   got a funny look from cute check out girl.   [roll]

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Tell her it's for your motorbike. Offer to take her for a ride, and you'd be happy to remove her nail polish from her hands and feet if she'd like too :).

Be careful with that acetone...it can damage rubber (as well as your plastics and paint).

I'd think the Simple Green would be sufficient, just ride it carefully the first few miles.

Acetone is what's used to remove mould release compound on tyres, so I don't think it's too bad for the rubber...

N.B. and edited for clarification. I'm not saying you soak the tyre in an acetone bath. The way the mould release agent is taken off tyres is to have a rag with some actone on it rubbed over the surface of the tyre, then the surface of the tyre is rubbed with a clean rag. Works for me.

The problem with that is she looked like she was about 16.   :-\

Maybe in someone else's bag off tricks, (not implying you, btw)  but not mine.

Thanks for the edit with the how to...  I was gonna take the wheel off, but now I'll just put it on the rear stand and use my roomates' t-shirts for rags.   [evil]

Thanks again...
