Anyone wrecked on a track and claimed on their insurance?
Anyone wrecked on a track and claimed on their insurance and forgot to say you were on a track?
This was an instructional riding class right?
What say you?

I believe Ron turned in an insurance claim on his 1098 when he fell at the track. Now I didn't hear that from him. It's an assumption that I made when I heard his bike was considered a total when they found a bend in the frame. I would guess that it would have to be an insurance adjuster to make that call. Better ask him directly.

Don't know if Scott has claimed any track damage on his 1098. I've heard it both ways. Some insurance will cover non-racing track day damage and some insurance will not. Does anyone out there know for sure?

calscrazy

i thought all track days were instructional. isn't that why you went? to gain valuable experience and knowledge that can only be gained from an environment where you push the bike in order to know how it and you will react in real world situations at HIGHWAY speeds. all under the watchful eyes of one of the most respected ducatisti in the country!!! however i wouldn't show the video!!
home will always be between the red and rio!!!

I didn't claim mine- it wasn't toooooo bad.

track days are NOT racing, they are NOT a timed event. It is driver education [thumbsup]

However, it sounds to me like there was a low-side on a gravely country road near Decatur ;)

I've only heard rumors, and they were all bad/negative.  Rather than spread rumor, the only positive point I can add is this:

I think you're doing the right thing in seeking feedback from someone who's actually experienced this.

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

FYI - this sounds like some pretty sound advice.  Have you read your policy yet?
