CRG lane splitter mirror interest?? Anyone?

As the title says I am just curious if anyone has the hots for CRG Lane Splitter mirrors in the group. I have two sets, one with the standard CRG bar end inserts and one with Rhino Moto bar end slider inserts. The Rhino Moto set is a tougher bar end slider that has a machined groove for the CRGs to clamp to.

I have one set on the BinB and the other on my S2R1K. I got them after hearing and reading all the rave reviews and the fact they look kick a@@! Reality has set in and I now realize they cannot cover enough ground for me to fell comfy riding either bike. You would never notice a problem but my severe lack of neck mobility prevents me from checking my 4:00 and 8:00 o'clock and these mirrors can't cover all the area that I need. Again, no problem for a normal, healthy rider who can swivel their head and neck for a quick lane check... something I can't do. I have pretty well adapted to my other bikes and their mirror issues but not the CRGs.

Yesterday's ride to the Hard8 made up my mind. A simple lane change on a busy 635 was a scary problem. Just don't need an issue like this that can be simply resolved with another set of mirrors. Chime in if you have interest. No fixed price in mind yet but it will be a deal over retail for damn sure!

Thanks! And no, this is not worth putting on the "parts for sale" national board. Just checking local interest.

Hey Brian, Will they work on the S2R 800?  I'm interested  ;)

No pics... I believe you have to have a camera for that! [laugh] There are a million pics out there on the internet, just Google it or look through the main board for some members bike pics. I'm sure they are out there. Check out Rhino Moto's website for pics of their bar end slider inserts made for the CRGs. http://rhinomoto.com/

Maria, sure they fit any standard 7/8" handlebar.

Chris, I'll check my PM. Thanks folks. [thumbsup]

Brian,

I have a pair of Monstrack mirrors off my wife's Buell you may want to check out.  They are small but to place the mirror in a more normal viewing position.  Beautifully made pieces as well.  We could work a trade for a pair of the CRG's, which I prefer.

I will need to convert the right side arm to the Ducati reverse thread, but can cover that on my end.

Thanks for the interest and the offer, I appreciate it but I already have some Napolean bar end mirrors on order. I have been looking around and it's kind of mind boggling to sort through all the mirror options out there. I knew I drew the line at skull and cross bone Harley mirrors! [laugh]

If a deal with Chris and Maria doesn't pan out you might hear from me. Since they were the first two to chime in I will give them first call.

Thanks again!!

I would have jumped on these mirrors in a heartbeat, but I'd have to figure out a solution to the front blinkers.

I think Maria and maybe Chris have dibs. It's too bad I cannot use them and feel safe. They are really cool, well made and look great on the scooters. It's my problem, not the mirror's. I just hope someone local can use them and enjoy the minor mod. I'll move on to something else (mirror-wise) and keep trying to find what works for me. I am sorry that this didn't work for me because I sure wanted it to! Oh well, hell I'm still riding and that's all that counts. I can adjust to all the rest. [thumbsup]

CRGs are cool...but nothing beats these bad boys:

Oberon bar end blinkers - had these on my old bike.

They make an adapter to use in conjunction with bar end mirrors.

I've seen those, but I don't really like the looks of it.  I'm doing my best not to break the bank account and buy parts for the bike.
