Angry about what?

GP paddock politics?

most likely the rest of what we don't know about this whole year.  [..jarvis]

besides: tools left on the bike, swingarm fails, tires disintegrate, sudden severe chatter in warm up, visors fail.. more than enough to be pissed about alone.  that's 5 races right there.
Like this is the racing, no?

I'll agree he's had some horrible luck this year.

Her going off isn't helpful.

I thought Ben wasn't using mom as a manager anymore?

Even if she wasn't, when has that stopped her? All luck aside, he has not been the same even when he managed to finish.

I'm a fan of Spies. No bullshit attitude.
Just a thought, has his performance waned since his mum stopped being his manager?  Or does he suffer due to the "eurocentric" bike set up culture?

I wouldn't have my mum as manager for two reasons:
1. She'd keep the umbrella girls away ("you very naughty boy!")
2. She's fiesty. She'd crack Jarvis over the head with a wooden spoon ("I Kill you bastido make the beast with two backsing!") :D

She's just being an overprotective mom right now, the difference being that people are shoving mics in her face.

I agree with you, though in this case she thought to sit down and write this on her own.

Personally I like it when people in sport speak their mind, I don't care if it's Schwantz or Bens mom. Too often we read articles or watch interviews and the particular person says NOTHING, just the same BS, "the bike is great, I didn't ride to my potential, we need to work, I'll work with the engineers" " and I'd like to thank my sponsors..........." blah blah blah.

Then when someone steps out and says wha they ACTUALLY think people fire off with STFU. Disagree with them, disprove their point, yell back at them, but for Pete's sake, don't ask them to STFU, they are the only ones saying anything interesting!

I think the major difference is....when you use the media outloud to tell the world that you are displeased and why, the people that sign your checks get a lil unhappy at the tarnishing they take in that process and you tend to end up being not reconsidered for renewal...I think behind the scenes, there are exactly the kind of thoughts said to those that need to hear them...but behind the closed doors, we'll never get what truly happens...and in the end...it is the media exposure that matters most when it comes to making money...so thanking sponsors and playing/towing the company line is expected to help perpetuate that flow.

I agree 100%, that is why I like it when someone actually speaks their mind regardless of what the sponsors want.

Besides, it gives us all something to talk about then!

I disagree, she should STFU.

i think this is a personality thing cuz i don't really care what anyone says ;)

The only person that suffers from her big mouth is her son. Do you really think that manufacturers will hire someone that has their mommy airing their dirty laundry? Of course when he's winning, they'll put up with a lot of shit, but if I was Ben I would be telling her to STFU.

If she 'really' said what was on her mind without all the innuendo it would be great.

Name names...enough with all the code...

otherwise...

STFU Mary. ;D

Good point, actual names would have made the quote MUCH more entertaining.
