regulator/rectifier went bad???? does anyone know of an aftermarket replacement?

I think my regulator/rectifier went out on my 03 monster 1000ie.
Does anyone know of a upgrade mod?
Fried a new battery, won't run unless hooked up external power source.
Any ideas
