Looks like a spark plug going into your exhaust header?  Then yes you do.  Read up on that close loop ECU thread and get FHE from other that have dealt w/ that ECU system

No worries, I'd hate for you to buy an exhaust system just to find that it wasn't what you thought would work well w/ your bike.  [thumbsup]

interesting response from the ECU forum you sent me to, here it is:
"if you have a PCIII working, you can just fiddle with the PCIII when you install the exbox.  You cant ever say that a map will work for a certain setup until you do it. It may run great, it may not. Either way, if you have  PCIII working with out issues, you should be able to get a dyno tune if your termi map doesnt run right with the exbox."

Now if my PCIII runs well and I have no issues with my bike other than better performance how can I spend $1k on exhaust that is non-returnable????  Now I'll be up all night

That's the big "if".

Are theses guys unplugging the O2 sensor?  I remember that Doug had his S2R1k's unplugged and it was running better since he had the Staintunes on it.

Just FYI AMS won't tune your bike if you have a PC3 installed.  Jeff doesn't like them and won't work on it.  I asked him when I had my M620.

Call Martin over at Motowheels and ask him about your options.

there are *always* people on here looking for an exbox system.  so worst-case scenario, if it doesn't work out, you just knock a few dollars off, and sell it to someone on here as good as new condition.

Now I'm curious why he doesn't like them.  No matter, I have my guy in McKinney who does a great job on this.
Thanks.

Jim Sabin of sabin performance in dallas also works on them regularly and gets good feedback...he worked on my S2R800 a couple years back.  very cool to do business with, he didn't even want me to pay full price because he felt like he was taking too long to set up the maps.

So when does the new exhaust hit your front porch?  I'd like to check out the install of it.  I hear it used to be a pain in the ass, but that was about 3 years back.

not sure just yet.  my buddy came over who owns and S2 and helped me chop my tail.  everything I do turns into a nightmare.  the blinkers now hit the cowl...yes I kept the stockers for now.  anyway, if he buys my setup then before Christmas if they are in stock.
