I'Fratelli's was busy and lots of road traffic so we detoured to Cabaret Royale and they don't allow cameras or camera phones in there.  :-X

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Lunch?  What lunch?

[evil]

Best lunch EVAH, sucka's  [laugh]  All kinds of fun AND we got to meet Kurt (Bullethead).  Had a little lisagana, some chianti and some really good laughs.  Y'all are the ultimate attitude adjusters  [thumbsup]  But the best thing was no one even gave us a second look in our leathers and chaps; Cabaret Royale moves to the top of my "cool" list.

bullethead

Yeah you kind of expect that a guy in chaps would garner a bit attention.

It must be motorcycle ear or the loud music at Cabaret R or I'm stupid ( yeah, that's it ! right Rich & Will !  - I had wine at lunch! ) but I had it wrong too Kirk !

People Bullethead is new but you'll really like him, he sees a lot of NAKED !!!!!!  [evil]   Duc Hooligan - for sure !!!!  [thumbsup]

OK back to reasonable sanity here... as if! Great lunch today, excuse me, make that great long lunch... no one goes back to work at that late hour. Really, really great meeting Kirk, my new neighbor!! And great to see surprise mystery guest Ron! Sorry Wiwa couldn't make it. And Dax, haven't really gotten to spend any quality time with you before... I now feel complete. [laugh] They always take really good care of us there. Maybe we should make that our new Motopia. I'm sure they'd never charge us membership and they do have a bar. Best part is they take reservations under the name Ducati... and they know that means us! Does it get any better? Thanks for letting me park my Jap Ducati with the Ducs and Kraut bikes. [cheeky] So glad to see Maria well and good spirits. That was quite a wreck. It could have been so much worse and thank God it wasn't. Isn't it great to laugh and make fun of near death experiences. I've never had any practice before until recently but it is such a healing, human thing to do. So happy that we can make fun and tell jokes about what could have been a disastrous event. I guess that's one way of dealing with it. Puts a lot of things into perspective and locks you down on your mortality. If you don't live life then you are really not living. Don't claim that statement but it sums up how I feel. [thumbsup] [moto] [beer] [clap]

Gee, anyone notice any run on sentences and no paragraphs? No? That way you know for sure the post is mine! [bang] [laugh]

Great to finally know more of you also.  Now you know how Elizabeth feels  :P :P :P :P
For my part I can say this group is not only well read but bright and a joy to talk to on just about any topic.  Variety is the joy of life and DFWM exemplifies this to the letter.
As for another club....Strokers on Harry Hines would be a good place.  Except for Sunday's when it's packed to the gills with cruisers they have burgers, beer, hard liquor, pool tables, TV and even some so-called "fashion" shows; more on that later.  I go there with my cruiser friends and every make and model shows up and everyone is friendly.  Most important, no fee and parking in rear of bar so you can drink and admire your scoot.

Heck, I'd check out Strokers. It would be fun to watch them try and figure out what I was riding!! [laugh] Kellers Burgers by me and Kirk has two distinct sides on the weekends. One is old muscle cars (cool!!!!) and Harleys on the other side. It's always entertaining to stop by on the Ducatis, Gixxers, etc. and see the attention that the car gearheads give me, which is not a lot but it is there and the minus zero attention the Harley crowd shows. But, one cool time two Harley dudes walked up to the 999. Hell, I thought they were going to kick it over and set it on fire! They both said, so no one else would hear, that one had owned a 748 and the other an early 999. They thought my bike was cool and even acknowledged that they knew what carbon fiber was ( [laugh]) but it was like a double secret conversation... like don't let our Harley friends know we know! Funny. [cheeky]

the crowd there isn't all that bad actually.  most are RUB'S and the ones who are not don't care because you are on two wheels.  there's quite a few sports on the lot at any given time.  some time ago there was a woman on a Duc that rode there every Sunday with her boyfriend (big 6'7 guy too), all she wore was chaps and a very tight skimpy something....you should have heard the place go silent.  anyway, we should plan that then because the Westies can join there also.  It's actually very nice and Rick, the owner, is a very nice guy to boot.

Hey, I've got nothing against the cruiser crowd. It would be pretty f'ed up if I did. I think it would be cool to check it out. When I have done the Keller burgers thing I loved cruisin' the cruisers and the muscle cars! The Harley snobs can't stop me from admiring their high buck rides. [thumbsup] Do I want one... mmmm, maybe not but I still bet it would be fun, just different. And what's wrong with that? How can two wheel anything be bad? I got dibs on Maria's pink Vespa scooter at the next track day! [laugh]

Glad to hear of the new blood. Welcome to this delightfully demented den of Ducatisti If  Bullethead was hanging with this bunch I'm sure you'll fit right in. I too have introduced a new person to the group. He's a monster rider who works in FW. His name is I think SouthM900 and he will be posting up soon. Hope to get all the newbies (hey that includes me too) together soon over here on the affordable side of the Trinity for some hoopla.

Since this lunch didn't happen and proof is only in the wind now If Cher comes up and tells me she had a lap dance for lunch at CR ( great buffet BTW) I will never say another mis-directed word to the Easties.

Oh I know....that's not what I meant.  sorry for the confusion.  [thumbsup]
Anyone on two wheels is a friend of mine for sure.  I don't care what you ride but you can't ride mine.  [cheeky]

I'll post when I return from Nebraska and see if we can get all the Westies and Easties to go.
