Hmm, seems like we discussed going to this last year. I think Cory was the only one who actually wound up going. The group he rode with met at Wild Child near my house....

...not many sport bikes at this event.

These toy runs are so much fun. I've gone every year since I started riding again. Unfortunately, I won't make it this year. I don't have a bike to ride.  [roll] Next year........ [moto]

Well that's interesting the comments. I live very close to I-30 and each year they go by we take a cooler of beer to the Oakland St. overpass and watch it. You can hear at my house a mile away. I've always told myself that if I get another bike I'll do this so this is that year. Ho Ho Ho

;D Last year I got caught at a light downtown coming off woodall rogers by the Santa Run easily 10 minutes wait - they had  [leo] escort !

I stopped the car got out and watched & others who were at first annoyed also got out after a while - I saw a lot of sportbikes & 6-8 Ducs - it would be cool to have a squad in the ride - they had some awesome big dog choppers & trikes & pretty much everything but mostly Harley flavor !

I think Cyclonette might enjoy this - if the weather is good !  [thumbsup]

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

I think they start at three places (Grapevine, Dallas, and Fort Worth) and ride into Arlington.

I agree that it would be very cool to have a showing of non-cruisers.  [thumbsup]

It's a great cause, for sure.

Yep I went last year, and as far as I could tell I was the only Ducati! Definately a ton of cruisers but I still had a blast, and everyone was super nice. I loved watching the reactions to the dry clutch  [cheeky]. Theres just something about a 15 mile line of motorcycles rumbling down the highway that will never get old.

07 S4RS, Full Arrows (CF), DP ECU, Open Airbox, K&N, Speedymoto Gold "Kukri" PP, Rizoma Clutch Cover, DP Gel Seat, Cookies1 Tail Chop, 14 Tooth Front Sprocket, CRG LS, Dyno Tuned by AMS 132rwhp, 74 lb ft.

This sounds interesting.  Does each rider bring a toy or is it a fund-raiser sort of thing?  I'd like to get involved  [moto]

not to be a buzzkil but be very careful.  I didn't go last year because riding with some 10,000+ bikers was enough for me for the previous 4 years.  it's a lot of fun and it's an experience to remember BUT there are a lot of $20,000 bikers that ride 10 miles a week and slingshot and never hold their line.  Either ride at the very front (get there VERY early) or the very back and get ready to get high from the fumes.  for me, I'm out of these behemoths.  I do run another three like Collin County, Denton County and McKinney though.  If you want to do those PM me.

And yes you must bring a toy or donate, I think $10.

I can see your point Dax. I see a lot of swervy wervy bikes in that segment of bikedom in the first place. At slow speeds 850-1000 lbs of hot motorcycle is hard to hold up!. I live on the east side of Fort Worth and have watched the run yearly from along the side of road as throngs of people do sitting in the back of the pickup waving flags. Maybe it's a better decsion to again watch from the pickup. To get an idea YouTube it and watch to get a feel.
