I have found something that I want more than the 1098 Bayliss. Top speed is a pathetic 120, but she is all carbon. Deliveries start in 2010. Seriously thinking about getting on the list.

What's it do?

If it's supposed to fly, it's going to need to flap its wings a whole lot faster than that!

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

If it is the VTOL I saw an article on it'll never work -not with the power numbers they were quoting...

Not a VTOL. Wings just fold up for storage/transport. It is in the Sport Plane category. Weighs less than 1400 lbs, and has a 100 hp rotax motor. Comes with retractable gear.

Downsides: Slow, VFR only, and 60 lbs cargo capacity.

It flies. 3 hour flight compared to a 10 hour drive to my families house. It flies  ;D

And Oshkosh  [thumbsup]

plane looks cool enough but 75 seconds of clips showing the wings opening and closing?  It has to have better selling points than that.  Does it actually fly yet?

That is cool! Unfortunately I would probably be shot trying to fly that thing to New Orleans. Texans would shoot at you thinking that you were some big ass bird. NOLA residents would think you were Batman, and they wouldn't put up with that shit in their town  ;D

Maintenance will probably be like buying a new one every year. :o
