As such it employs the Aprilia Mana's CVT and uses a scooter-style bar-mounted rear brake lever.

It's like a scooter.  No gear shifter and no clutch lever.  The rear brake is at your left hand.

where are the foot controls?

Good catch.  We are so used to concept bikes missing necessary things like mirrors and real exhausts that I thought they tried to pull one over on us.  But now I remember it is an automatic so that explains the lack of foot shifter.  The lack of foot braking controls could be explained by linked braking that is all activated by the hand lever.  Oh well, its just a concept.

The Mana I rode had the rear brake where you'd normally expect it.

I didn't mind riding it, actually. It was chuckable, had enough go and was quite fun, once you get over the twist-and-go and learn to either knock it into a gear coming into a corner, or put it into sport mode so you had engine braking.

The major dislike I had is the one I rode had a quite well-sprung helmet and storage compartment where one would normally expect the tank to be. On the left-hand switchgear was a release button for said storage area. I mistook it for the gear down button (gear buttons also sit on the left-hand switchgear) and smacked myself in the balls with the helmet compartment.

If they fixed that it'd be cool.
