My fiancée talked about getting married in Barbados.  We even found a place that would pick you up and the port (we were going via cruise ship) take you to the place to get your proper documents (so it would transfer to the states) take you to your venue & already have the official of your choice/denomination there and take you back to the boat.  We were going to get married on the beach in Barbados, but decided against it, mostly so our families could attend ~

my friend did something similar in jamaica for that exact reason. he didn't want a lot of people there.

Seriously, when i am 800years old i want to rock like Lemmy! it is a religion that requires lots of determination, drugs, and Marshall stacks.

My parents were all for us eloping, as was Dave's mom.  His brother was the only dissenter.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Paula, I'm very happy for you (if you're happy).  Somebastid is a heck of a name to be marrying - hopefully he doesn't live up to the name.  Next time you're (and I mean the BOTH of you) the round is on  me ( or you can stay at our house -  we have Young's Chocolate Stoudt / and Dave - hubby is ALWAYS up to eating bacon/ charred meat.  no brainer.  When in Philly - stay with us!!!

Thanks Laura!  You are so sweet. :)

My Wife and I talked about getting married in Turks and Caicos, but via a vacation/honeymoon. Travel Expense for family and documents from government prevented us from doing that.

So we got married Nov 16 in Key West on a sailboat with about 42 family/friends.
