Run, Skip, and Go Naked (aka Skippy's)

<lots of variants to this recipe, we'll call this Butler University style>

- grab a large pitcher
- add six pack of light beer (doesn't really matter what brand)
- add the contents from a frozen lemonade cannister (found in the frozen section at the grocery)
- fill the empty lemonade cannister with vodka, dump into pitcher.

I know it sounds like a crazy ass mixture, but they are really good and will make the beast with two backs you up beyond normal eye sight.

ah yes... i've had similar concotions. sober to sideways before you know it. [thumbsup]

my own punch recipe:

* 1 bigass cooler
* shittonne of ice
* 6 2L 7up/sprite/whatever...
* 6 pink lemonade concentrates
* 12pk smirnoff ice
* 1L vodka
* 1L everclear
* 1 pint bourbon

we'd put it on the counter, and serve it into solo cups with a gravy ladle, or on one occasion a coffee pot. the more "fly by night" the better. it tastes like somewhat dry pink lemonade, and as i said earlier "sober to sideways before you know it." [evil]

it's a party drink, for sure. it doesn't really go bad, so fear not if it doesn't all get drunk. [beer]

Papa Ghandi:

2 Parts gin, 1 part tonic
Muddle with fresh mint & ice
Strain and serve straight up

It gets it's name from being half Hemingway (Mohito) and half Gin & Tonic

Tasty!

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

At the U of I we call that pink panty droppers (with pink lemonade of course)...but ours has a cube of beer, a gal of monarch and add as much frozen pink lemonade as you want.  It is great for a big group [beer]
This site is bad for me.....It makes me want to spend thousands of dollars that I do not have XD

I'm a fan of a good 'ol G&T.  If you haven't already, give Hendrick's a try.

Or there's always Sam Summer  [thumbsup]

i think i love you.

that sounds delicious!

Hey Ash - knew you'd like that one & appreciate the authenticty of having the proper glass (mug in this case)  [beer]
use Old Tyme ginger beer if you can find it - it's got a nice snap to it and not too syrupy sweet like some of the Jamacian stuff

1 1/2 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz Cointraeu
juice of a quarter of a lemon
a splash of Campari (I use a half of a cap full)

Just put it all over ice in your shaker and shake the hell out of it. Pour into a sugar rimmed martini glass.

Please share the tastiest way you know how to get blasted.

Cheers.

mmmm... sounds great!

don't forget to shake it while you shake it  ;D

Caipirinha

2 tsp granulated sugar
8 limes wedges
2 1/2 oz cachaca

I am training for this run and have been since April and last weekend on Sunday after our training day we had a few of these.  They are beyond yummy, of course the best I have ever had were in Spain.

Dark & Stormy:

2 oz. Gosling's Black Rum (or any dark, spiced rum)
8 oz. ginger beer (the spicier the better, to my taste)

Serve over ice. Was the big riverside hit of the 2007 summer kayaking season with my paddling buds back East.

And a good gin martini makes me happy pretty much no matter what the season...

Home made horchata and rum.
Mojitos made with mint from the garden.

This probably has a name but I have no idea.

Tequila in a glass with ice, shake of salt, squeeze half a lime and fill with squirt.
I can drink those all day and then fall over.

that sounds pretty tasty.

my "drink whenever, wherever, and how ever many" choice is a well made whiskey sour.

I prefer this dark and stormy... it's a little stronger.

Dark and Stormy:

Good dark rum (I use Appletons Select)
Good ginger beer
Four lime wedges

Pack a glass with ice, pour in about 1/3 - 1/2 of the way with the rum
Fill almost to top with ginger beer
Squeeze in 3 wedges and discard
Wipe the fourth around the rim and mix this wedge into the drink.

Manny

other than G&Ts,

i like a mint julep made this way:
splash of simple syrup (boiled water and sugar)
fresh mint leaves
ice
bourbon

also a simple margarita:
1oz Cointreau
2oz good Tequila
shake with ice and pour in salted glass

Xiphias

A lazy man's margarita
1 Big Ass Blender
1 can frozen limeade concentrate
1 bottle of beer (Budwiser works best)
Tequila - use the limeade can
Ice
