The interweb is a cool place for info. Found this thought it was neat.
Plug in temp outside and your speed and there you go, freezing your ass off.  [cheeky]

Doesn't seem to work well. Or maybe I do not understand wind chill.

Wind Speed (MPH) = 120
Air Temperature (ºF) 40
WindChill= 22.31594180762549

Wind Speed (MPH) = 80
Air Temperature (ºF) 40
WindChill= 11.64013091

Wind Speed (MPH) = 2
Air Temperature (ºF) 40
WindChill= 47.06826944

120 is warmer than 80, and 2mph raises it above ambient? Am I missing something?

If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you.  If you can't see Chuck Norris, you may be only seconds away from death.

I like the imperical calculation the best;  Chill_Index=35.74+0.6215*AirTemp-35.75*(Mph^0.16)+0.4275*AirTemp*(Mph^0.16)  [bang]

My calculus, back in college, had me going over 100 for the 8 miles to my sweetie's house from the bar in town.  Somehow I figured even at below 20 three minutes less was worth the difference.  But 60 mph for 18 miles at 20 was just as bad.  These line cross on a graph somewhere?

I remember a night so cold that the officer had to force me out of his car after writing me the ticket for the over 100 mph part - Jesus it was cold.  I mean he had to kick me out of the car.   In the early 70's they evidently had a little higher tolerance for the "coming from the bar" part too. ok the chart doesn't go up high enough.

hmmm my ride to and from work... is about 35 min. today was 33 deg. going into work, 39 coming home. speeds... well on the unrestricted part of the autobahn... in the 90s, most of the other time 60-80.

so is this the reason my fingertips are tingly?

On that Wind Chill chart, look under the 35degrees column.

Theres a discrepancy between the 40, 45, 50 MPH rows.  How does the temp get warmer when the wind picks up to 45mph??

???

That's the well-know global warming correction.
