I flunked the course last summer. I'm still gun-shy and cash-poor, so taking the course again may be a ways off (unless anyone wants to donate $$?!). In the meantime I'm happy riding my stinky little 2-stroke scooter around town with just a learner's permit.

You couldn't retake it for free?

The time to do so has already expired, unfortunately.

You are going to do great, I'm sure.  You are already going to be ahead of a lot of the others in your class as you have riding experience.  Good luck!  [thumbsup]

My wife did better than I did on the skills test at the end. Nobody failed. The entire riding portion was in the rain, which was no fun at the time but for which we're grateful now.

We didn't care if we passed or not - we'd already taken the Vespa down to the DMV and passed the riding test. 3 days after buying it. Without ever having been on a motorized 2-wheeler before. I think my wife had a half-hour of practice. Taking the MSF BRC with no goal other than to learn skills and no worry about failing to get a license if you mess up is totally unbeatable.

If you know someone with a scooter, why not see if you can pass the riding test before the class on that to take all the pressure off?
