Well, good news is that it is just broken, no surgery required.

I went to urgent care on Sunday and they took 3 x-rays. The doctor there said no break. I got a call from a radiologist following up saying I should see a specialist. Saw the specialist on Thursday, he said that it is broken for sure and that 2 ligaments looked torn. In addition he was concerned that the front (toe) half of my foot was displaced to the outside of the foot in a bad way. After he reviewed a new CT scan on Friday, he said that it looked like my mutant healing powers had gotten everything back into the correct place and that I was healing well, no surgery. So I only have multiple fractures of my first metatarsal that will need to heal.

Ducaholic: I took the MSF course last year but I really feel like I need some track instruction where I can learn about corning in a much more controlled situation. I need to get my head and body to stop fighting one another and I think that might be the best way to do it.

It sucks that you went down in the first place but shit does happen.  Glad to hear that it wasn't too bad and your on your way to recovery.   [thumbsup]

Well Aaron, depressing news is that you'll be down for awhile, hence on the sidelines........uplifting news is that this baloney happened in January and not June.......

And more good news:  EliteTrackdays.com is holding 2-3 trackdays @ H2R per month (allegedly--per schedule) and most all of us want to head out there, most likey when TxDuc gets back from his "vacation" in the far east....and that should be Mid March sometime at the latest.....

You and M1Tanker need to compare Xrays to see whos got the most spectacular break......and who's got the best limp......prizes at the door.....

We need to get you back on that horse that spit you off as soon as you're ready!
Always one to be underestimated
