I foresee a long dry spell for Ducati, especially in motogp.  I believe that Hayden will be done after this year.  WSBK is a toss up, but I predict a good season for honda this year.

With Portimao testing rounds done it looks like the only Duc in the crowd that was worthy (  [bow_down] ) was Shaky! Outdoing the factory boys! Here come the Brits though. Johnny Rea looks to be hot already.

I still think that Honda has it this year.  Spies was the only reason Yamaha had a chance.  I'd love to see Ducati win, but I just do not see it happening in any of the major venues.

I agree. The Brits and the Hondas are cooking it! Ducati will have a tough time against that group. It will be fun to watch. As always!

I'd like to see some broadcasts of the Brit SBK series. That is where Rea and Toseland and that guy with the C in his name came from. I don't have enough crooked teeth to say his name.

Haslam and Rea have been grooming on those Hondas the past two years and it shows. Honda will do  big things this year. You can feel it.

I'm getting tired of watching all the re-runs on the DVR of WSBK and MoGP.

Check out the HD Channel; every other week they're running all of the Isle of Man races.  Great racing!  You may need a translator though for most of the English commentary... Especially the rider interviews!

And now that you mention it, orthodontia has definitely NOT made it over there yet.  Very grim in HD...

Pinocchio

That was a great find, and I really enjoyed following it from week to week when they began airing it in December. I just wish there was HDTV coverage of the IOM Grand Prix, which is the vintage bike race held in August. Cafe Racer magazine's last issue had a short pictorial on the 2009 event. The contemporary riders have faster times on the vintage machines than was possible when they were new, due to improved suspension components and tires. It would be great to see riders taking the Ballaugh Bridge jump on 40 year-old British thumpers, as in days of yore!

I've had all the episodes recorded for 6 months now and still get a kick out of watching them!! Also watching the MoGP and WSBK races too. It's what is keeping me going through the winter.

I seriously wonder what the Superbike grid will look like at Daytona. DMG cut the prize money for all SBK races to virtually nothing and now will only pay to 3rd place!! :o They are trying their best to kill Superbike racing and putting all their eggs in Daytona Sportbike. Seems as if the only class they want to support has to have the word "Daytona" in it. The France family has no respect for the SBK class or it's history. The USA gave the world the SBK class. And at this rate we'll be the only country in the world to not have SBK racing. [bang] No wonder Honda and Kawi said screw you and walked away! It will be interesting to see how much effort Yamaha and Suzuki put into it this year. I'm sure their budgets will be drastically reduced. At least Suzook won't have to write those big ass salary checks to Mladin and Spies anymore!! ;D

Sounds like Rock Bottom Racing might even stand a chance ;D

I wouldnt put to much into off season testing times.  Its going to be the same people as last year at the front.  With the addtion of JT at the replacing Spies.  I think Biaggi will win a few more races this year.  Probably see one of the Althea Ducati's take a few podiums as well.
