Dude!!  I can't tell you how many times I almost pulled the trigger on this helmet.  I just don't want to buy one without trying it on!

More pics please?

i would reco you try it on before you buy if possible.  i wear a med or large usually in helmets.  as i mentioned it the prev post, i have a wide head, so if its a wide fit i wear med; otherwise i wear a lrg.  With this helmet, its a wide fit but i could not get my head into the opening of a med.  even the large was difficult but it fits very nice once it got it over my head. i would say the size runs small.  the large is similar to a arai quantum medium but rounder, esp at the top.

the mouthguard is only a guard and allows a lot of air to come through.  as its gotten colder here in the northeast, i've covered the vents to reduce the airflow.  you'll also notice there is no cutout for ears.  does this matter?  yes and no.  it doesn't bother me or my ears but you should be aware that you may need to stick you fingers into the helmet and fix your folded ears. I have not tried but using headphones or an intercom system may be uncomfortable.

Theres also less foam but comfort hasn't been an issue for me.  when i pick up my old helmet, it has about half inch of soft foam but that helmet was always very uncomfortable due to the fit.  this helmet just fits so much better it didn't matter even with only about a 1/4 inch soft padding. (edit, i'm talking about the foam at the top and sides of your head.  not the foam at your neck/checks which is the thickest in trad helmets.  this helmet has none of that.  NONE. )

if your head is long from the front to back, i can imagine this will not fit well.  that or you will have to order 2 sizes up.(due to shape and it running small)  if your head is wide (and shorter front to back), putting it on will be a pain in the butt initially but the fit is good.

The following is a VERY VERY ROUGH measurement.  I measured without pushing the padding in. keep in mind the scorpion has a bit more give.  you'll see that i had to buy a large scorpion for the width but i ended up having way to much space front to back.  for "normal" sized heads, the opposite may hold true for the airoh (you may need to buy for front to back space but it might be too wide)

front to back interior length:
Scorpion exo-700 large: 8 inches
airoh tr2 large: 7.5 inches

side to side interior length:
scorpion:  5.5 inches
airoh:  6 inches

not sure what photos you're looking for.  heres a few more.  if you want to see anything specific, let me know.

look at that size difference!!!!

hope this helps if you plan to buy without trying it on.

Wow, thanks a million live2ride!

That shell does look small, so if I do buy, perhaps a medium is in order.

No plans to travel to europe in the near future for me...

So far I think I like it a bit more.

The fit is great, no pressure points, and it is much lighter. It's a little noisier, but not from wind. I just hear the bike more.

It is a different helmet. There is much more of it in front of your face, and it's kind of like looking out of a tunnel. If you look up you can see the padding.

I'll let you know better after a couple of years. I liked the RX-7 right up until I retired it.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

AGV GP Tech (last year's Combat red)
$375 at STG.

It's slightly shorter than my Schuberth R1, but still a oval/long oval.

Clearly a race helmet with only medium comfort.
Really large shell, my 3XL shares the largest of three shell sizes with the 2XL.
Less wind noise and equal exhaust/engine/ambiant noise (still requires ear plugs)
Wide in the front, tear drop shape - little/no buffeting.

I'm happy finding another 3XL that fits my long oval HUGE head [thumbsup]

Finally got around to getting some reflective vinyl and finishing my lid. We'll see how long the stickers last.

It's just a plain old Scorpion 700
You can kind of see the stickers. Sadly the vinyl I got wasn't as black or as reflective as I had hoped but I only paid $13 shipped for 12x15" piece so I guess I can't complain much.

Here's how it looked w/ the template taped on.

And with flash while sitting on my table in my room.

The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!

I know I've posted one of the lids before, but, since now I've got a new one, it's time to refresh everyone's memory, my Nolan X-Lite X-801R Checa Replica and my Shark RSI Fusion Hologram, between both, not including shipping, less than $200.00

Nice collection!

Ha... exactly.  Actually, one of them is for my wife, one of them belongs to my daughters and the others are mine.  I have some for the harley and others for the monster.  The orange one I had when I lived in australia.  It's probably 12 years old!

It served me well.

I decided after my old helmet saved my life that I'd keep it as a reminder and example and testament to why I religiously wear a full face helmet!  [thumbsup]

Frustration

Bought em plain white...  Couple of dollars worth of high quality reflective tape and good decals and I had Helmets that I like more than the busier Duc branded...

Dont mind blowing a little color though.  The Xeleven...
